I use ecto but it constantly is glitching and tossing up error messages. My trial use of Mars Edit was really great and while still in the development stages it has a very dedicated team and promises to continue to get better. 20 bucks as well, but I've yet to find a free yet comprehensive desktop blogging program for the mac.
