I&#039;ve only dabbled in fiction, but I think there are some similarities. There will be research in both cases, though fiction doesn&#039;t require citing sources. 

I think that fiction also requires a bit more thought ahead of time about the qualities of characters, the setting, and other key parts of the story. For nonfiction I find that I can write short stories and anecdotes without fitting them into a seamless narrative flow. I hope that makes sense.</description>
